This is such a perfect way to spend a summer afternoon! Outside the restaurant there is a huge shade tree, picnic tables and you can walk down to the river to swim or walk out on the sandbar. Hey, I remembered to take a picture before we all ate! The burgers were really good, and they have homemade chips! I ordered the queso, of course, and the steak fingers, which are hand-breaded at the restaurant!Īfter we ate, we looked around a little more at the historic building, which has survived numerous floods over the years! I did get this picture of the inside dining as we walked through! Some of the machinery from the Power Plant days are still there, and along with the brick walls, gives it such a great feel! Since we were wet, the restaurant seemed a little chilly, so we opted to sit out on the big patio above the river! This is our view, and the sound of the waterfall was amazing! Located in the same parking lot as Seguin Tubes, we headed right over as soon as they dropped us off in the shuttle! They also handed us a coupon for FREE chips and queso at the restaurant! The Power Plant does want you to wear shoes and shirts, etc., but understands when you come in wet from the river, which is great, because Seguin Tubes lets you tube as many times down the river as you want, and we planned to go again after lunch! Set on the shores of the Guadalupe River, in the old Seguin Power Plant, next to the waterfall, you really can’t ask for a more picturesque restaurant than the Power Plant Texas Grill! After a fun and relaxing morning of tubing the calm waters of the Guadalupe with Seguin Tubes, we were starving, and we had no doubt where we wanted to eat!
